Berkshire says Gen Re CEO may face SEC fraud suit - Warren Buffett's
Berkshire Hathaway Inc. (BRKa.N: Quote, Profile, Research) on Friday said
securities regulators may sue the chief executive of its General Re Corp. unit over
his role in a 2000 transaction that helped American International Group Inc. (AIG.
N: Quote, Profile, Research) inflate reserves.

faces trial on a Securities and Exchange Commission allegation of negligence for
allowing financial statements to be released in 1998 without full accounting
