statements of bankrupt cable company Adelphia Communications Corp.

has asked an Illinois federal court to bar Guadalupe Valdez, of Rockford, Illinois,
from preparing federal income tax returns for others.

market-timing probe - Three brokerage firms have agreed to pay a total of $5.8
million to resolve regulators' allegations that they allowed improper trading in
