City Settles With SEC
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filed a cease and desist order
against the city of San Diego on Nov. 14, which the city has summarily settled
under terms accepted by the SEC.

SEC Filings Searchable With New Tool
The Securities and Exchange Commission said Tuesday it is now possible to
search the contents of the information that companies are required to disclose in
SEC filings using a new search tool on the agency's Web site.

sentenced to seven years in prison on Tuesday for participating in a $2.2 billion
accounting scandal at the software company.

Infomercial Pitchman Jailed for Fraud
A TV pitchman who defrauded customers, banks and vendors out of $39 million by
selling them faulty computers was sentenced Tuesday to more than seven years
in prison by a judge who called his conduct "unforgivable."
